Behavioural Specialist Teaching Assistant

Behavioural Specialist Teaching Assistant

Salary/ Rate: £65 per day

Exclusive Education is looking to appoint a Behavioural Specialist Teaching Assistant to work in a Special Educational Needs school in the North West. The role will initially be for one term but potentially will be for the academic year. The role will be working with Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues and challenging behaviour.

The ideal candidate will have previous Teaching Assistant experience, working with pupils with Behavioural Difficulties. Previous experience working with pupils with Autism is highly desirable.  An understanding and training in PEC’s, Teach or Team Teach would be desirable.

In order to be considered for this role we require you meet the following criteria;

  • Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3) (desirable)
  • Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Have previous experience of working with children in the last 2 years
  • Excellent knowledge of the full curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Previous KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4 and KS5 experience
  • Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Two references working with children
  • Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one

They are looking for a teacher to take over the class and demonstrate outstanding teaching. Working in a friendly, lively and vibrant school.

The role requires experience of supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs including SEMH and challenging behaviour.

The School are looking at taking on either an NQT or a Qualified Teacher for this role as long as the ideal candidate is able to implement strong behaviour management strategies whilst adhering to school policies. Previous teaching experience is desirable.

In order to be considered for this role we require you meet the following criteria;

  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification with QTS, such as a PGCE, B.Ed. or a BA Hons
  • Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Have previous experience of working with children and supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Have good knowledge of the full Science curriculum
  • Previous KS3 and KS4 teaching experience
  • Two references working with children covering the last 2 years

Exclusive Education is looking to appoint an Sports Teaching Assistant to work across EYFS, through to Key Stage 5 at a Special Educational Needs school in the North West with a pupil with Special Educational Needs. This role is for 5 days per week, is to start as soon as possible working full time.
The ideal candidate will have previous Sports Teaching Assistant experience, will be confident undertaking work to the EYFS – Key Stage 5 curriculum.
