Salary/ Rate: £71-£80 per day

Exclusive Education is looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant to work at a Special Educational Needs school in the Winsford area supporting pupils with varied Special Educational Needs. This role is for 5 days per week, is to start as soon as possible until July working full time.

The ideal candidate will have previous SEN Teaching Assistant experience, will be confident undertaking work to the EYFS, Key Stage 1, 2, 3 and 4 curriculums and must have experience in supporting pupils with SEN. Also will consider candidates with care background.

In order to be considered for this role we require you meet the following criteria;

  • Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3) (desirable)
  • Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Have previous experience of working with children in the last 2 years
  • Excellent knowledge of the full curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Previous EYFS, KS1, KS2, KS3 and KS4 experience
  • Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Two references working with children
  • Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one

The ideal candidates will have previous SEN Teaching Assistant experience, will be confident undertaking work to the EYFS, Key Stage 1, 2, 3 and 4 curriculums and must have experience in supporting pupils with SEN. Also will consider candidates with a background working in care, residential support work, sports coaching would be welcome for these roles as well as those without SEN experience but looking to build their experience in this area.

Previous experience working with pupils within a school setting is desirable but school are happy to consider candidates with other experience of working with children and young people from other settings including sports coaching, residential and care. Applicants without a background working with SEMH pupils but a strong desire to support pupils with SEMH are welcome to apply.
