SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary/ Rate: £62-£66 per day

Exclusive Education is looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant to work across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and 2 at a school in the North West supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and behavioural difficulties. This role is for 5 days per week, is to start as soon as possible working full time and providing pastoral support to pupils.

The ideal candidate will have previous Teaching Assistant experience, will be confident undertaking work to the EYFS – Key Stage 5 curriculum and have experience in supporting pupils with SEN.

In order to be considered for this role we require you meet the following criteria;

  • Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3) (desirable)
  • Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Have previous experience of working with children in the last 2 years
  • Excellent knowledge of the full curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Previous EYFS, KS1 and KS2 experience
  • Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Two references working with children
  • Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one

Teaching Assistant

Year 2 Teacher

Exclusive Education are currently working with a Primary School who are currently looking to recruit a Year 2 Teacher. They are looking for a teacher to take over the class and demonstrate outstanding teaching. The children’s work should be marked and assessed daily and accurate records kept of their progress. Regular parent’s evening will be held so that all relevant information relating to the children’s education and emotional wellbeing can be fed back.

  • A strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • A firm understanding of the Safeguarding and Welfare Requirements

Secondary Computing Teacher

Exclusive Education are looking for an ICT and Computing Studies Teacher to join a secondary school on a long-term basis. You will be responsible for a number of classes across KS3, KS4 and KS5. As well as support for ICT and Computing curriculum related activities together with in house development and support for teaching and learning.

The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate the capability to plan and deliver creative, inspired, stimulating and differentiated lessons, designed to engage all students increase attainment and encourage participation through independent thought and discussion amongst different year groups and abilities. You will be responsible for monitoring the students’ progression and providing additional support where necessary through one – to – one and revision workshops.

All candidates will be subject to a full DBS check and will be paid according to experience.

Teachers must:

  • Be a qualified teacher with UK QTS
  • Have excellent subject knowledge and experience of teaching across Key Stage 3, 4 and 5

Cover Supervisors

Exclusive Education are looking for a Cover Supervisor to work in local schools in the North West. Working as a Cover Supervisor is an ideal way of building on past school experience for those looking to gain a career in the education sector or go on to complete Teacher Training.

 

Cover Supervisors are required on an ongoing basis to:

 

  • Provide the pupils with work already set by the Teacher
  • Supervise and manage a classroom of pupils, while enabling a constructive and positive learning environment
  • Collect completed work after the lesson and pass to the appropriate teacher
  • Provide feedback to senior staff where appropriate

 

Applicants are expected to have at least 6 months experience of working with children in the past 2 years, formal qualifications are not necessary. Applicants who have experience teaching sports clubs to children, attended Camp America or Active Soccer or have other similar experiences will be suitable for the role.

 

The following skills are desirable for becoming a Cover Supervisor:

 

  • Highly adaptable as there is no a regular timetable
  • Open to work in a range of schools and areas
  • Resilient as you will deal with a variety of situations
  • Behaviour management skills
