Math Teacher

URGENT!

A Primary Teacher is required for a full time temporary post working with reception age pupils at a Special School for children and young people with severe and complex Learning Difficulties. The role is teaching a mixed age Primary class. The class has pupils with a wide range of needs and abilities and therefore a good understanding of sensory activities and working a P – Levels is essential.

The role with be delivering a range of subjects to a number of pupils working at levels considerably lower than the National average. Strong classroom and behaviour management is essential as well as the ability to quickly build rapport with pupils who can have challenging behaviour.

Applicants must have experience of working with pupils with Autism and Severe and Complex Learning Difficulties. Team Teach and Makaton training would be desirable.
