VERY URGENT: SEN Teacher

URGENT ROLE TO START AFTER EASTER:

Exclusive Education are seeking an experienced Special Needs Teacher for a long term temporary role in the Lancashire area. The role will be teaching pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties and Severe Autism at Key Stage 2 level. It is a complex class with challenging behaviour. Knowledge of planning and assessment at P – Levels is essential.

The ideal candidate will have a have strong background working with SEN pupils and supporting pupils working at a wide range of abilities. Experience working in a Special School setting teaching pupils with Autism and associated Learning Difficulties would be highly desirable.

The role with be delivering a range of subjects to a number of pupils working at levels considerably lower than the National average. Strong classroom and behaviour management is essential as well as the ability to quickly build rapport with pupils who can have challenging behaviour.

Applicants must have experience of working with pupils with Autism and Severe and Complex Learning Difficulties. Team Teach and Makaton training would be desirable.

An understanding and training in PEC’s, Teacch or Team Teach would also be desirable.

The role is teaching a mixed age Primary class.
